It could take some time to get pregnant so why not start eating healthy and exercising now as well as start trying then it will be easier to keep going with healthy living when you get pregnant

Why not do both at the same time? From personal experience, focusing on my health and losing a bit of weight has helped me get pregnant. Good luck!

Best advice would be to lose weight first; you can do something like keto and lose fairly quickly. Start eating healthy now and get a regular exercise program

I was in the same boat as you. My only advice is, yes you can start trying but it's SO much hard to loose the weight after you have your baby. It's probably easier to get to the weight you want to be before you get pregnant vs trying to loose the weight after pregnancy. 
At least that's what I've experienced. I am on my second pregnancy and overweight to start with, but for both pregnancies I did/ am doing well with weight gain. I ate healthy and With my first I only gained around 15 lbs so when I had my baby, I was pretty much back to my before pregnancy weight. Hopefully I'll do the same with this pregnancy. I don't have the time dedication now though to work out because of my baby, which is why for me it would have been easier to loose weight before I was pregnant.

My husband and I were ttc for over a year and a half. I then joined weight watchers, and was on it for about 7 weeks when we got the positive pregnancy test! Never hurts to start making some healthier choices prior to getting pregnant, and it might even help to conceive!

I was 190 at 5'5" and I had to lose weight. We continued trying the entire time I was losing weight. As soon as I got down to 170 I got pregnant. I'm 27 weeks and I am 188 now. 
I think it depends more on if you're healthy at your weight. If you eat well and eat what you're supposed to you'll be good :)

I’m roughly the same as you and planned on losing a stone before getting pregnant just to make it easier on my body but fell pregnant before we even started trying, I’m just gonna try to eat healthy but I’ve always piled the weight on in previous pregnancies.

I’m the same height and weighed more pre pregnancy with all my babies.  Include the one I’m pregnant with now.  I was healthy thru both my pregnancies despite being overweight.  And this time number 3 i had been trying to lose some weight (lost 20lbs) then I got pregnant and I’m maintaining a healthy diet and doing lower impact exercising throughout and hope to feel even better after this one comes in August.
