How common are missed miscarriages?

I am trying to enjoy being pregnant and currently 6 weeks. I haven’t had any bleeding and pregnancy test still positive, I test every week or so (I know that’s overkill). It’s just hard to wait for the first scan and mine is not until week 9. I am wondering if most miscarriages begin with bleeding or are many “missed” until that first appt? Is there anything I can do for peace of mind in the mean time? Should I get bloodwork drawn or does all that wait until scan day? Thanks

I had one. Didn't know until my first scan at 8 weeks. Baby had stopped growing at 6ish weeks. Its does happen but just try to not think about the worst and just focus on staying healthy mentally and physically  for your baby. Stress isn't good for you are the baby. Keep your head up mama

Statistically they say missed miscarriages only account for between 1-5% of all miscarriages. It's so so hard not to worry, but worrying about what could happen is only going to steal joy away from the time you have with this pregnancy.

I was feeling a ton of anxiety but I have chosen to try and think happy thoughts about the baby inside me. It’s really hard but try and find something to escape those thoughts such as journaling it down to get it out. Or choose something you love to do to forget. I have anxiety (even before pregnancy) so usually if I find something I love to do or spend time on me I feel better. I hope you have a healthy baby ❤️💕

I’ve had 2 miscarriages this year... 5 total in the last 4 years. 5w3d today and the anxiety is overwhelming. Glad my dr is treating me as high risk so we started monitoring hcg immediately. Today I find out if my levels are increasing and how my progesterone is looking. Each of my miscarriages & 1 ectopic started with spotting. So far, so good and praying this baby sticks. 🙏🏾🤞🏾

They are less common than a regular miscarriage where you get signs like spotting and all that. So usually if you see no blood that’s a good sign.

Girl. I have the SAME worries!!! I’m 5 weeks and 3 days and first ultra sound is on Jan 14 and it feels like forever from now.
I went to my doctor last week just for a consult and to ease these same worries. He was really confused at first on why I was coming in so early in the pregnancy... and I had to flat out say “I’m terrified of having a miscarriage and want you to give me advice to make me feel better about it.”
He understood after that and told me that truly there is nothing you can do to prevent them... it’s just chromosomal mishaps. Bad luck if you will. Best thing you can do is not stress and stay as positive as you can! I personally turn to the women in this group because a LOT of us are going through the same thing. Hang in there lady!
