What NOT to do during the TWW

Question

So I'm going in a vacation & my TWW started few days ago, it's my honeymoon vacation & we been planning for this since we got married 2 years ago, we didn't have the finances for it & wanted to make it real special, anyways it's a beach vacation & lots of activities, do you think I can drink? Should I act normal or be careful? What I should be careful from anyways ?

Only thing I would avoid is hot tubs and getting wasted! A few tropical drinks will not prevent your pregnancy from happening, just make sure you bring your prenatal with folic acid.

​A couple months ago I was in Florida during my TWW. I totally didn't think anything of going in the hot tub and the morning after I was spotting 6 days before AF. so it may be completely unrelated but I feel it prevented implantation.

In would avoid drinking - There aren't studies that show that it's 1 or 10 drinks that affect the fetus so they say no alcohol to be on the safe side.  FAS is for life.  I work with children and youth who have FAS and some are more challenging then others.  It's actually a brain injury.  I'm not trying to scare you but a lot of people aren't aware of the effects that alcohol can have long term.  Your killing cells as the try and grow - so which ever cell is damaged then nothing grows further from that particular cell.  So it could be the cell that has to do with sensory.  
​I've worked with experts and hve been educated in this area.  
​Again I'm not trying to scare you but you'd never know till later on in life through certain milestones if the alcohol affected the fetus or not.  
​In the end it's up to you - but I feel it's important to educate people.

I would enjoy your vacation, you shouldn't put your life on hold until you  get your BFP. I spoke to my doctor about this same thing some months ago and she said just don't over do it with alcohol, reasonable amount. Re exercise, I exercise about 4 times a week, love to run. My doctor also said that was fine, just recommended not doing strenuous abdominal exercises during the time that would be implantation. Enjoy your vacation and have fun, try put the tww to the back o your mind.

Personally, I wouldn't drink. If there's a chance, why do anything to harm. Also I read on here not to run or do anything extremely bumpy as your implanting. Have fun, and good luck!
