Tips on transitioning our toddlers to toddler beds?!

My son can officially climb out of his crib. We are so screwed haha. How in the heck do I keep him in his bed once we transition him to a toddler bed?

My son has been climbing out since he was 18 months. This has been a lifesaver and worth every penny. We are not ready for a toddler bed yet.

You don't, really. My son has been in his twin bed for nearly a year (we transitioned at 15m). It took about 2 days before he lost interest in just running around his room. I just keep a stool next to his bed so he can get back in.

Transitioned ours at 18months after he climbed out of the crib twice. He is now in a full bed with a side rail. The first week’ he would walk out of his room to our room around 3am. Then we wud then take him back to his room then sometimes fall asleep in his room. Hes back to sleeping through only problem is if he’s not tired enough , he won’t stay on his but want to walk out of his room as soon as you close the door. He sometimes come up with excuses like, read book, water, it’s itchy, want poop🤦🏻‍♀️just to buy time for bedtime. All in all, keep repeating what you used to do and emphasise need for sleep. They will get it eventually

I transitioned my LO already, me and my husband noticed she would climb out her crib non stop. Whenever she naps I use a video baby monitor to know when she up since she can open the door.

My son started climbing out right before he turned two before that I always sat in his room and rocked his little brother and wait till he fell sleep to leave I do the same thing now that we have taken the crib side off and he does fine
