Breastfeeding-WIC-formula

I Breastfed my LO for 3mths. I strictly pumped cuz she wouldn't latch. At 2.5 months I had enough of the mastitis milk blisters and clogged ducts and my little lady spits up so bad that her DO put her on soy for 3days but it didn't help. Anyways I finished up all my BM a couple weeks ago and she has been on formula. I decided to sign up for WIC until I go back to work . The WIC office is now sending a lactation specialist to my house to try and get my milk to come back in after it's been gone for a month. Anyone ever hear of this? I just don't know what to expect. I'm so afraid it will be painful.
