Help! Doctor had me due a full sti panel in February of this year which came back positive for hsv2. I had never had an ob (that I knew of). I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I think I am currently experiencing one. Symptoms are mild but I do notice an uncomfortable feeling on labia. Don’t see much but With my pregnant belly makes it hard to see anyways. Originally they told me to start an antiviral at 36 weeks unless I thought I was having symptoms. I just had an appointment and inquired about starting it early due to being high risk for premature labor. Doctor said I didn’t need to but could if I wanted. I said I will wait because I haven’t had any ob. Well now sure enough I think I am and I called today to get something called in and didn’t get a return call.. probably due to the holiday. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for home remedies to help relieve the minor symptoms/help it heal faster. Also if I do get an antiviral what’s a typical time frame on healing? I’m scared it won’t be healed in time for me to deliver vaginally (if I don’t go early).
