How many appointments with Ob_gyn?

Hi,
First of all Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I m choosing between 2 doctors (one recommended by my sister in law) and the other which is easier for me to get to. The one recommended by sis in law is a bit more expensive and it will all add up. On average how many appointments do you need from first appointment to birth (as in minimum, not including extra calls because we never know how many could be needed).

Every month until second trimester, then it's every 2 weeks until third trimester then it's weekly appointments

My OB is every 4 weeks till 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks till 35-36 weeks, then every week till delivery.

I had one a month until 24 weeks, two a month until 34 weeks, and now one a month until I give birth. A lot of them were over the phone though since it’s a low risk pregnancy

I’m high risk because I have had 6 back operations so for me I have my regular OB who I see once every four weeks from 6 weeks pregnant to 20 weeks pregnant and once every three weeks from 20 weeks to 30 weeks and every other week from 30 to 35 and now I’m on every week until 38 as I have to have a planned c section. I have also see the high risk doctor 5 times and they are way more expensive then my regular OB. If you have health insurance check with there pregnancy program... my regular OB appoitments are covered fully under my insurance but my delivery and high risk appointments come off of my deductible.

Every month, then every two weeks starting at 16 weeks. I have a high risk doctor though. Not sure if that makes a difference. I’m paying out of pocket and it’s 300-365$ each appt.

With both of my pregnancies I was seen once every 4 weeks until 32 weeks, then seen every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and after that, every week until baby was here. I had approximately 10-12 appointments per child
