Membrane sweeping?

Have any of you had your membranes stripped? What was your experience and how far along we’re you? I was induced with my first. I have a new doctor this time and don’t care to be induced because the first one was really rough for me but I was curious about membrane sweeping as he offered it to me.

At 37+4 I was 1-2cm dilated and got a membrane sweep.... little bit of mucus plug came out after that. Then 4 days later at 38 weeks, dilated about the same and got another membrane sweep. Was a little crampy after but no other symptoms and I’m still pregnant 38+5. For some people I read that it works and puts you into labor within hours and others it does nothing. I’ve also been eating dates and having sex and walking. Guess my baby is just stubborn.

I had two during my last pregnancy. One at 38 weeks and one at 39 weeks. Neither were super painful for me, both caused light spotting and cramping but niether put me into labor. I was induced at 39+2. 
On Wednesday I'll be 39 weeks with my current pregnancy and ill be asking for a sweep. Hoping it works this time 🤞🤞🤞 TIME TO GET OUT BABY!

I have had that done several times in two of my pregnancies and it did nothing for me 😩

I had it done with my previous 3, might do it again lol . It will only work if your body is ready. 
I had it done 39 weeks exactly with my first, went home and had sex, took a shower. Started having contractions around midnight. I went to the hospital and had him that day lol.
For my second I had it done at 39 weeks again, was in labor an hour later 😂 had her that same day. After having it done, doctor wanted me to come back for an ultrasound due to my fundal height measuring behind. They only had an ultrasound opening for in a hour. So I went around the corner to the store and walked, came back. They did the ultrasound and once done she asked me not to leave. My OB came in and brought me to a room and hooked me to the contraction monitor, which I realized then I was contracting. Went to labor an delivery and had a baby lol. 
For my third I had it done and it didn’t work at 39 weeks and I had to be induced at 40 weeks exactly, thankfully when I went in for my induction I was already in labor so didn’t need much, they just wanted to speed the process.

With my first I had it done 3 times at 38, 39 and 40 weeks. After my sweet at 39 weeks I had some painful contractions that lasted a few hours and then went away and then after my sweep done at 40 weeks I went into labor less than 12 hours later!

It really depends on you , I was 1cm and high . I got the strip Wednesday and I'm still 1cm and high , thankfully I'm scheduled for inducement on Monday.
