Can someone give me some insight.

I've 13 weeks pregnant and don't have my first appointment intil next week due to insurance taking forever to approve. I got a fetal doppler for Christmas and can't find my baby's heartbeat. Ive been told by multiple women not to trust them until I'm more further along. Just really concerned something is wrong. I've done a lot of research about silent miscarriages. Only 3% of women have it, but it still concerns me a lot. I have little to no symptoms. My home pregnancy test are still coming up positive.
