Question for ladies who have had a scheduled c-section. At what point in your pregnancy did your doctor tell you this was going to be the route to take and what was the reasoning?

My first son came naturally at 38 weeks and was just under 7lbs but at my 24 week appointment today the PA mentioned because this baby is already measuring big and I’m older they’re is a higher chance of a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks but they want to see where he’s at size wise at 28 weeks before we talk about that option. Just seems odd to even mention so early but maybe not?
