Birth Centers in midst of COVID

Due August 21st. I just toured a birth center today and got to interview the midwife that would work with me for my pregnancy and birthing. Just wondering how many people are considering this route due to covid protocols and policies?

I do have an appointment with an OB next week and touring the hospital L&D before I make my final decision on which avenue we are going with.

Local OB said hubby only can come to my first US and not to any of the other appointments due to COVID policies. They also said only one support person. It's our first baby and I want my husband to be involved in every step of this pregnancy. He wants to as well.

I've always wanted a water birth at home so I was always leaning towards a birth center or midwife at my home.

Just wondering how many people are using birth centers to be able to take charge of their pregnancy and birthing experience due to COVID. If you are, what are your concerns about this choice?
