Mil ugh

Allison

So my mil got sick on 12/23. She started with a cough and nasal congestion and she is still sick and she also lives with us. She also took food to our family/next door neighbor before she got sick who the husband and wife both tested positive for Covid and the husband is currently in the hospital. On Sunday my husband and I both started feeling sick and are now also sick. My husband, myself and her all have practically the same symptoms. Two of those being no smell or taste. Luckily so far it has been mild for us. My mother also has the same symptoms now but doesnt live with us. I was around her before i felt sick at all. Well my husband had to go get tested for work and of course he tested positive. I didn't go get tested because i know thats what i have also since our symptoms match and since i haven't left my house other than to go to my moms in 2 weeks. My point is she doesn't believe any of us really have covid even though my husband has the results to prove it. She thinks everyone just test positive no matter what and yeah. Basically there is no point in posting this just to vent because one it makes me mad how she doesn't take it serious. Two how we are all sick now and three how I gave it to my mom all because of her and her stupidity.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery! Sorry about not her taking it seriously. I would have my so talk to her about staying somewhere else if she continues to not take this seriously.

It’s not her fault you guys of your Mom got covid. It’s a freaking pandemic that started in China. Makes zero sense for us to be blaming each other when people get sick.

You seriously are sitting there saying it isnt her fault when she was sitting in the living room and kitchen coughing and sneezing on everything. I understand its a pandemic and sge can't help she got sick but she could have self quarantined to her room instesd of staying around us coughing and sneezing every where.

Like I said we need to stop blaming each other when people get sick. It’s a pandemic and people are getting sick with and without precautions. It’s foolish and pointless to point the finger at each other.

Uh yes it is because she didn't self quarantine. She stayed home but not self quarantine like in her room so yes it is her fault my husband and I and my mom got sick.

To be honest I would’ve already been to get myself tested when next doir neighbours came down sick and MIL. I wouldn’t of visited my mother just to be safe and self isolated as there was a high risk if you having it.

In Australia you have to self isolate for 14 days for close contact. Even if you have no symptoms.

You have to pay for the test? Im in Australia our testing is free.

Well i didn't test because i have to pay almost $100. My husband and I have the same symptoms. I wasn't around the neighbors and havent been any where else so i thought i was safe as possible. I would have never gone if i thought any of us had it.
