Stimulus Check Timing

Hi everybody,

Something that slipped my mind with my first daughter until her first birthday (yikes!) that I already did for my December baby is starting a 529 college savings account! I earned my Master’s Degree in 2017 and paid for it 100% out of pocket. I don’t want my daughters to have to go through that, so I’ve opened an account for each of them, hoping it will at least cover tuition. With stimulus checks coming out, it’s perfect timing! The $600 we get for each child will go to each if their accounts. If this is something you’re able to do, I highly recommend it! We love our financial advisor and are feeling lucky to be able to do this.
