When should you stop watching child inappropriate movies with them in the room?

For me it was around a year for violence and 1.5 for sex/bad language. Around a year she was getting more nightmares so I wanted to be sure the movies weren't the cause and low and behold, she had less nightmares after we changed what we were watching.

Screen time isn’t recommended at all until 18 months. I’m not sure if there is a “rule” on when this starts, I didn’t worry too much about having the TV on in the background the first month or 2 but by 3 months we made a conscious effort to keep the TV off when LO was awake and in the room regardless of the content.

Me personally I wouldnt do it period. Babies are sponges and I myself dont like violence, gore ect -- im pretty sensitive so I wouldnt expose my baby to that. Just me though.
