Size of baby????

Question

I had an emergency ultrasound on Friday which would’ve made me 30 weeks 5 days on that day. They didn’t tell me how big she is, just that she is in the “50th percentile” what does this mean? Like how do I know or calculate around how big she is?

It just tells you that if you take 100 babies at 30 weeks gestation that she would be bigger than 50 of them and smaller than 50 of them

50th percentile means she’s average. Anything over 50 would be bigger than average, any thing less than 50 would be smaller than average. So ur baby is right on track! My doctor said she doesn’t get concerned about those estimates tho unless baby is above 95th percentile or below 5th percentile.

I’m pretty sure that means baby is about average. My daughter is in 50th percentile right now and her pediatrician said she’s right on perfect with “average” children her age. So I’m assuming pregnancy means same thing.
