positive then negative test but still way too early??

Hi guys,

I had an unusual experience here. We’re trying for baby 2 and I got a positive opk on Jan 3. I tested Monday jan 11 (expecting negative but I’m travelling this week and wanted to know asap) and saw a very, very faint line (7pm). I tested again the next day (afternoon) and it was clearly negative.

Should I assume the pregnancy wasn’t viable or that it’s still just too early? It’s like 8/9 max dpo but not sure.

There doesn’t seem any reason for a false positive but it’s just really puzzling to me to have a very faint line then later nothing at all.

Anyone have some kind of experience like this?
