Best car/SUV on a budget?

My husband is about 300 pounds and 6ft so it’s very hard for us to find a fitting vehicle. We have a son in a car seat and are about to have our second child which means a second car seat. We have a Chevy Cruze and let me tell y’all 🤪 not happening!

I had a Toyota Highlander and there was so much room. Even in the back seat. I’m tall and when I first brought my son home from the hospital I sat in the back with him and had so much leg room. Also perfect for parents. It has a mirror that flips down so you can see in the back without using your rear view. Also has a thing where you don’t have to scream for people in the very back to hear you. You just turn it on and talk normally and they can hear you through speakers

We have a Mercury Grand Marquis. My boyfriend is very tall and it fits him perfectly. Also if you are short, the pedals are adjustable. Mines fully loaded with heated leather seats which is perfect for northwestern Michigan where I am. I have no problems getting through snow. The only bad thing is the gas mileage, but the milage would be about the same if we had an SUV.

My ‘14 Ford Escape couldn’t comfortably fit him. I see that mentioned a few times. 
My dad is 6’2” and like 250 lbs but he has to push the seat back to fit his legs, which I’d there’s a car seat there it won’t work.
Take a car seat with you shopping. My husband always wanted a truck, he got a Chevy Silverado, and the car seat doesn’t work in there. The dealership said of course it will fit and we should have tested it  with the actual infant carrier. 😬 maybe a regular rear facing car seat would but not the infant carrier you’ll use for a year.
Honda Pilot or Volvo c90 seem like the popular choice around here

Our rav4 has tons of room for my 6’4, 300+ lb husband. Interestingly, he is also totally comfortable driving his Prius C. His Prius is base model and was about 13k brand new. My loaded rav4 is a few years old and was about 20k.

Chevy Traverse is huge and so much room! Also has third row seating. I test drove one and feel in love. Its my dream suv lol

i would not recommend a chevy equinox i had one it broke down in 3 months the engines absolutely suck! look into toyota and ford

I loved my Ford Escape but I just got a Nissan Pathfinder bc I have 2 babes and planning on more. So we just needed more room. My husband fit fine in my escape. I will say my pathfinder is super nice and roomy

He should be able to fit in a chevy equinox or Ford escape.   My ex was taller and and heavier than your bf and fit comfortably in those when they were my cars.

I’d recommend a Honda Pilot if that’s in your budget or Subaru Forester !
