Cleft Palate?

These are ultrasound pictures from 33+4. I noticed that it kind of looks like he has a cleft palate in the pictures? Does anyone else see it or know why his mouth might look like that? I'm a FTM and I'll obviously love him regardless, but I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if they see it too? Thanks mamas ☺

They would have told you something or had your doctor call 💙

Cleft palate I believe has other genetic implications, and that would have been thoroughly looked into from your anatomy scan. Definitely something they would have told you before now.

It's probably the angle, and fluid that is causing it to look like that. During the anatomy scan my doctor told me they check for all of that, so it probably would have already been detected. You can always call to ease you mind though.

Looks like they caught him mid sucking reflex to me. I have a similar one with my girl and that's what they told me.
There is of course no way to be 100% sure but if your doctor thought there was a high chance they would have told you.

Probably just the angle and I am pretty sure that they would have said something to you but if I was you then I would maybe just ask the question just to put your mind at ease next time you see your midwife or doctor

It’s most likely just the angle of the picture. During my 20 week and my 3D at 28 weeks baby looked perfectly fine but last week at my 36 week scan on certain angles I’d see the nose and lip disappear and look like a cleft. I asked about it and she said it was just the way the wand was picking it up. She then switched it to 3D and got a different angle to assure me there was no cleft pallet.
