So my boyfriend wants to try new things and I’m totally down for it and exploring new ways but he asked me if I was okay with dressing up and I said sure but I’m not sure about any of it and he said something about cosplay/kitten and honestly how do I even research that or start too??

Answer

Cosplay is usual based om favourite characters from a show or movie. So if you dressed as Lara croft from Tomb Raider, maybe he would be a bad guy who stole treasure and you have to get it back by whatever means possible.
Kitten is more what you'd call furries where you adopt the traits of the animals you're pretending to be.
Ask follow up questions to get a better sense of his fantasies.

Try looking at cosplay pictures with him to get a better idea of what he’s into. You don’t want to risk buying something he’s not into. If you’re confused about something, it’s definitely best to ask him
