So y’all I was super confused because my bf of 5 years had been acting super distant. He’s a quiet man in general but he was too quiet. Every little thing he was getting mad at me about...I forgot the laundry, or I didnt tell him where I was soon enough. He was barely speaking to me. This isnt really normal behavior for him but I was ready to snap because when people don’t communicate with me or become distant it truly hurts my feelings and he knows this. I’m a tough bitch with a soft, sensitive ass center lol. So out of no where before on 12/30 he was like we should have went away for New Years. Now I’m looking at him like he’s crazy because he’s been moody and distant for 2 weeks and all of a sudden he wants a vacay. That night he books us this super nice hotel saying we are doing a staycation. I’m excited because he’s finally not being weird.

The hotel was beautiful. He got us a room that was lined with large windows overlooking the city and the lake. Now y’all probably know what’s coming but apparently I am oblivious.... So at the stroke of midnight he gave me one of those toe curling kisses that had so much love behind it. It was that kiss that even after you keep your eyes closed for a minute savoring the feelings. I open my eyes and he straight walked away. I was like...uhhhh where you going?! But of course he ignores me so I grab my champagne and watch the people celebrating on tv. He comes back and stares at me and pulls out the box and starts to get down on his knee. Y’all when I say my heart flew out my chest and I stared at him I’m total shock. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I truly envy the girls that have cute reactions. I had no idea this was gonna happen and I didn’t even hear what he said at first. He had to ask me again. Lol but now I know why he was acting weird at least. (Why do men do that) lol but I am so happy! I moved for him last year and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Coincidentally the building across from our hotel was lit with a heart.
