On the lower side of normal

So I had my 1st fertility apt today and the doc did. A ultra sound to look at my follicles he said I’m on the lower side of normal I’m 30 and have 8 on one side and 5 on the other and with Invitro I would get about 3 viable eggs if everything goes good but that’s just an estimate ..... does that sound good ? He didn’t explain a lot I had to go in by my self no one else was allowed I’m not a good explainer my mom thinks I have time to wait but I dont want to the egg count to go down it’s also very exspensive and I would only be able to do it once so do you guys think it would be worth it to go ahead and start the process. Or should I give trying naturally another year I been trying for 2 years now took me 1 n half to get my 1st I have a little boy really want a little girl and he says we can do testing to make sure it’s a girl also if that is what I like but like I said very exspensive any input would be great
