So my 60 year old mother got what she thinks bit by a spider in the middle of the night between her toes. She said it woke her up in pain, the next morning it started blistering instantly. These pictures I’m going to show you are all from the past 2-3 days. The day after she got bit she went to her family doctor and he told her it was nothing to worry about, that it was going to pop on its own and not to drain it or anything. Sent her home with antibiotics. The next day it blew up like a balloon. When she’d take a shower it would drain itself and then refill back up instantly. She went to immediate care last night and they did a procedure to get the infection out, this morning she’s following up with her doctor while they run tests to see what this could be from. The doctor from the immediate care says this is not a spider bite and doesn’t know what it is bc he’s never seen anything like it before. Has anyone had a similar experience to this? What the hell could this be from? I still think spider bite.... i looked up “brown recluse spider bites” and have had similar pictures come up but according to our doctor these spiders don’t even exist where we’re from.
