contractions two minutes apart

so i went into the hospital because i was having contractions 3-5 minutes apart along with some spotting and they did a cervical check, kept me two hours and did another and there’s wasn’t any progress so they sent me home. by the time they sent me home contractions are 2 minutes apart and very painful. anything i can do to help the pain. they basically told me just come back if my water breaks or if i can’t talk through my contractions, which i barely could when they sent me home as is. kind of mad because this pain is intolerable.
