Can putting too much hydrocortisone cream “down there” cause irritation?
I have recently been putting hydrocortisone cream down outside the vagina opening near my perineum for a scratch.
I’ve been doing it for a few days now and I usually take a finger full of it 2-3 times a day. But today I noticed that one side of my vagina wall is red and kind of irritated (not near where I had the scratch).
I, without thinking, but hydrocortisone cream on it and it immediately became swollen and more red. I sat in a warm bath and washed it off and that seemed to help.
Is it possible that I am using too much and should stop?
Thanks!
