What was your relationship like after giving birth?

After each birth we honestly grow closer and we find new ways to support each other.
This will be our 5th baby so whatever we found that we lacked after giving birth in 2018 we will put in place for this birth. We schedule time for us to have a break each. This is a must for us. Then we schedule time to be a couple. When I say schedule it could be a random time of the day and we say “hey tomorrow let’s do this this way” and then we make it happen. 
Funny enough labor is his favorite part. He gets to be as hands on with our babies when they come into this world and I was surprised to know all the things he does right when I push them out and I’m busy crying and trying to catch my breath. Each baby he gets his own private moment with. Something I didn’t know he was getting and he loves that moment. 
He is awesome and he tries to take as much of the lord off as possible as I also try to do the same.

For us it was very difficult. We weren’t this lovey dovey couple or anything before the baby. We bonded immensely when my daughter was born but about 7-10 months after she was born we experienced some real problems. There was a lot of communication problems more so the lack of it. I went through severe PPD and that took a toll on us, and he cheated on me. I left him and we got back together when my daughter was about 20 months. We worked on so much and fixed the majority of our issues and rebuilt our trust. We ended up getting married and am pregnant with our second child. We got to truly know each other and have hell on love with one another through so much . It’s not easy at all, but all I can recommend is make sure you communicate and remember to always respect one another even when it’s hard. Be patient kind and loving. Remember if you are experiencing PPD that it is very common in men too so he may be experiencing it and no my even know it. There’s a lot people don’t tell you. My first husband and I grew apart and divorced when my son was 2. I remarried in 2018 and we are having a baby next Thursday. Hopefully this time it works out better lol

After we had our first not gonna lie but even after the doctor said it was ok to have sex again i was just so scared of getting pregnant again & not only that I didn’t like how I looked and I pushed him away not with my words but with my actions we came close to actually breaking up that we wasn’t even sleeping in the same bed anymore and if we did he always made sure to try and not touch me he had his own blanket and all he was frustrated at that point and i had to sit and think to myself on what i was doing like shoot my man got needs he will probably end up cheating on me or just simple leaving me because im pushing him away and only giving love to our baby after all that our relationship has been stronger than ever we had our second baby and with our second pregnancy it was different honestly we was more closer it was like he understood me and was always there NOT SAYING HE NEVER WAS LOL

I started to resent my husband after I gave birth because he wouldn't bond with our daughter. Once he did that I grew this new found love for him. Once the lack of sleep took over we started fighting a lot after we sleep trained our daughter the relationship has improved so much

I found that my husband and I were SO close and connected. He is a great father and with each child (three) our bond got stronger.
