Hpv during pregnancy?

Has anyone ever had hpv during pregnancy? Did it cause any issues? Are you able to have a regular vaginal birth? I’m not sure much about it.. my doctor never elaborated on it,
Just told me to come back in a year for a Pap smear.. I got the shots when I was younger and I don’t have any genital warts or anything and praying they don’t show up. But has anyone experienced it? Like the hpv during pregnancy..

I was diagnosed with it while pregnant with my first. Most people with HPV clear it on their own without medical intervention. That’s probably why she said she’d check it again in a year.
I had severe dysplasia, which required the LEEP procedure. The doctor kept an eye on it during pregnancy since the procedure can’t be performed while pregnant. I had an unmedicated, vaginal birth with no complications. I had the LEEP procedure done 10 weeks after giving birth, and at my one year follow up, there were no signs of HPV, and I healed very nicely. I’m pregnant with my second, and will have an additional ultrasound at around 32 weeks to verify that my cervix is still looking good. 
I know it’s a scary thing to hear you have. Ask your doctor questions when they arise, and let the fact that it progresses slowly when you have it, and often clears on its own.

Hey so I am 17 weeks pregnant and I had an abnormal pap smear at 10 weeks pregnant. I tested negative for all the HPVs but just had “abnormal cells” (maybe cuz I had sex the night before and didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to? Idk) but the doctor wasn’t worried and said that when I give birth the baby will wipe away all the abnormal cells and they will do another pap smear after the baby is born. So I wouldn’t worry. The doctor will tell you if you are at high risk or something will harm the baby. I was freaking out until the nurse reassured me that it’s really common for these results.

I have HPV and my doctor hasn’t said anything different or that it could hinder anything. I even had a leep procedure about two years ago and he hasn’t brought that up so I think we are good 🙂

Are you talking about an abnormal Pap smear, or normal pap but testing positive for high risk hpv?
