How should they be charged?

I thought of this while driving and it really made me wonder what everyone's thoughts would be...

Scenerio:

Person A is not paying attention while driving

Person B was not wearing their seatbelt and driving alongside Person A

Person A hits Person B, and Person B ends up tragically dying from the accident. However, if they HAD worn the seat belt, it wouldn't have been fatal.

How should Person A be charged?

Option A: Only car related. Person B wasn't wearing their seatbelt, therefore bringing the actual fatality among themselves.

Option B: Death is death no matter how you cut it. Person A needs to be charged accordingly with that death to bring it justice.

You would have to be able to prove that the person would have survived had they been wearing their seat belt. Guessing person A would be charged because Person B could have gone on with their day whether wearing a seatbelt or no if Person A wasn't distracted and caused the crash in the first place. Not wearing a seat belt didn't CAUSE the accident/fatality.

They would probably be charged with vehicular manslaughter(depending on what was distracting them I guess). The other person not wearing their seatbelt probably wouldn't factor into it.

Well if person A had been paying attention nothing would have occurred and both would be alive and well. Pay attention while driving because people do choose not to buckle up end of story

Person A shouldn't be charged with murder but they should be held responsible for not paying attention. So they should pay for it to an extent.

Depends on how the accident occurs as to if the seatbelt even has anything to do with it, such as the at smashes into the passanger side and passaget is wearing seat belt and get crushed and dies from injuries.  Or like my aunt same thing happens except she did not have her seatbelt on and climbs over to te other side since she didn't have a belt on and avoided injury.
