5 month old Baby keeps pulling ear? Only during bed time

My daughter has been pulling her ears whenever it’s time to put her down for a nap or bedtime. It’s been going on all week. Could it be an ear infection or just her discovering her ears? No fever, no drainage from her nose, behavior is fine.

Ear pulling is a tired sign from my son. A lot of wasted pediatrician copays the first 6 months. At 2.5 years old he still tugs his ears and rubs his nose. Almost never does the stereotypical eye rub.

My daughter does this too it started when she started getting teeth breaking through her gums. My daughters ped told me that if its an ear infection often their ears will get red and they will always be tugging on them.
