Pap smear & period??

On Wednesday I have an appointment to get a pap smear but I got my period today. Would it be best to cancel and reschedule for another time or is it okay to have your period while getting it? It’s my first papsmear so I have no clue

Call their office & ask. Some doctors offices prefer u reschedule, while some others will still see u depending on ur flow.

All of these comments are wrong. You can definitely go get a Pap smear done while on your period, it’s just up to personal reference. I’d call to inform them, but I’m sure they won’t make you reschedule

Yeah you usually don’t do those on your period it would be kinda awkward so I would reschedule
