Cough

My 5 month old has just recently (today) had a slightly wet cough. For the last couple of days he would randomly have a dry cough but I noticed today that it slightly sounds mucous-y. The last three days his appetite had decreased but was normal all day today. And he hasn’t shown any signs of difficulty breathing. I’m going to call his pediatrician in the morning but have any of y’all’s baby’s had anything similar? Is there anything we can do to help it?
