Does the mute feature on this app need to be amended?
So, I think it’s fair to say, this is controversial. I, myself, find it VERY frustrating when you have a civil discussion, with many other users on a thread, and one person decides to mute you (usually for something silly, but for whatever reason), and then you can no longer see the entire thread. Particularly, if you spent time researching facts, putting detailed information, being civil, and now....poof! For those who aren’t aware, If you are muted you can’t see anything from that user (posts, comments, @other users or yourself).
If you choose amend, please suggest amendments you would find appropriate. Should admins only allow muting (specifically, in controversy corner, if the user can explain why they want the mute-and back it up with a good reason)? Let’s say, you disagree...we’ll, you can choose to ignore said user, not comment, or simply remove yourself from the thread.
I KNOW I am not alone in this...and, not the only one who is getting annoyed, and stepping back (maybe leaving for good if we can’t find a better way to handle it).
Pray I don’t get a ban for this, but I’m really tired of bringing civil, educated, factual responses to the table to not be able to see anything bc someone didn’t agree. It’s controversy corner!! Thanks!
