Over the phone postpartum check up? Normal?

I’m wondering if it’s normal that my OB’s office just told me that they don’t do postpartum check ups in office. the appointment will be over the phone. With my first I actually went in for
The appointment and I thought that’s what you’re supposed to do?

My OB office is doing the same thing just because of covid. They said if I have any concerns regarding the incision to call them or see my family doctor. Personally I’d rather have an over the phone appointment because you’re literally only there for maybe 10 minutes.

It’s a Covid thing I’m sure. A lot of offices are doing some of their pregnancy visits over the phone too.

It could be because of covid. They may see how things are and if something is wrong they will have you come in. I know this pregnancy has been so different from my first due to covid. I have my second march 25th with a scheduled c-section so I’m sure I will have to be seen in person. Also every place is different now because of covid😭
