Do you believe everything they say in your church? I just have a very hard believing certain things they talk about in my church.

I believe it IF it is able to be confirmed by scripture. We are to check everything out. Be like the Bereans in acts that "searched the scripture day to see if those things were so" they were checking the apostle Paul's preaching how much more should be be checking our preacher's  teaching.

If it’s something from the Bible yes I believe it. But some churches don’t teach from the Bible. You have to be careful when selecting a church.

I’m a Christian and was raised by my father who was a Bishop to ask questions and not feel ashamed. If I don’t understand something, research it and most importantly to pray about it as well. 
It’s good to keep an open-mind about things but don’t be naive in the process.

I love Jesus. Gotta say that first. I’ve come to question some things within the church. One thing is Easter. Every Easter there’s a sermon about the death and resurrection of Christ but they also give out Easter eggs, Easter candy, etc etc. Well to me Easter is a celebration of a pagan fertility god. I don’t even think we should call the day we celebrate Christs resurrection “Easter”.  Also the eating of the Easter candy and eggs is like eating food that’s been sacrificed to a pagan god. The scriptures talk about this.  It bothers me that church isn’t making this distinction especially to the children. 
I have a similar problem with Christmas. Anyway so instead of Easter, my husband and I have decided to celebrate Passover the way it’s described in the Bible.  We haven’t decided about Christmas yet but we both want the children to know Christ, just not the bastardized versions of Christmas and Easter. 
I think the thing we need to remember is that the Bible is God’s word. THAT is what we should believe. If people in the church are saying something different or contrary to the Bible, then you shouldn’t believe it.

I only said yes cause I couldn't remember a time that I didn't believe something my pastor said in a service. Not to say that I haven't disagreed with him, but I just don't remember it happening. My husband has different feelings about some things in our church though.

This is the reason why there are different denominations. I follow orthodoxy because everything is straight from scripture and things don’t change in the church over time vs newer churches that cherry pick scripture and twist it into a motivational speech 😂 maybe you just need to do some research on another church!

The Bible is The Truth base your theology off of it and nothing else. I found by studying scripture that Sabbath is on Saturday and was never moved to Sunday, that when people die they go to sleep not heaven or hell and the dead in Christ are resurrected when Jesus comes back and taken to heaven. Hell is an event that happens after the new Jerusalem comes down and those who were left here on earth will worship one last time before being consumed by the fire of His love and cease to exist forever. Seriously if you don't study scripture you miss out on everything and you miss out on God
