Time of day to take Metformin?

My doctor is having me start Metformin but she gave me no direction about what time of day to take it. I was told to take it with a meal. What time of the day would you reccomend?

How many mg are u taking?  I take 1500 so thats 3 pills... so i take one with each meal.  Dont try to double up if u cant help it in the beginning as it can cause upset stomach
