Weird dream?

So my first love was in hs and we never dated but we always had a thing for each other or kept contact every year of hs, we are college sophomores now and he has a gf he’s been w for a year and I have a bf I’ve been w for a year as well. I don’t think about him in real life but my dreams are mostly about him and us being together behind our partners back? In the dream he also tells me how I’ve always been the one he wants to be with and will be leaving her so we can be together at last, and some how I have a gut feeling we really are both dreaming about each other?? It really confuses me because I don’t think about him in real life only in my dreams and a little after I wake up? Does this mean something?
