why should i pee after sex??

ive heard this before but assumed it was for stds and sperm, which doesn't make sense to me. i mean, i'm 16 and dumb lol but does it prevent anything?? what does it do?

Great question! During sex, bacteria can get pushed in your urethra (the tube pee comes out of). It’s a different hole than your vagina. Peeing washes the bacteria out so you’re less likely to get a UTI. Peeing does absolutely nothing for your chance of pregnancy or STDs, since that’s a different hole.

It's so you don't get a uti. Sex is messy and gets a whole bunch of fluids mixed up everywhere down there, and if any of that stays in your urethra too long you can get a uti that hurts like hell

During the act of sex, the man's penis is in contact with a lot of areas from the anal region, vagina, clitoris and urethral opening. 
So, this means that the chances of having Bacteria transferred from the anus the bladder via the urethral opening are quite high.

Helps prevent infections. Both male and female should do it. My bf goes immediately afterwards and I usually have to pee about 5-10 minutes afterwards every time soo😂 it’s weird but it’s helpful
