In short, a millionaire Canadian couple flew by private plane to a remote Indigenous community and got the covid vaccine. They posed as local motel employees and each recieved a vaccine that was meant for the vulnerable and elderly indigenous people.

They have been fined C$2,300 and could face up to 6 months in jail if convicted. Along with the vaccine "theft", they broke the rules of failing to self isolate for 14 days. Its also important to know that they have NOT apologised.

The Indigenous community members have said they felt violated by their actions, and the minister is reportedly calling for reparations.
