Water breaking

My baby is due any day now. I live with my sister and my boyfriend. My boyfriend is going to be in the delivery room with me. However, he works Monday- Friday 9am- 6:30 pm. He works 30 minutes away.

If my water ends up breaking when he’s at work do you think I’ll have enough time for him to get home than us go to the hospital? The hospital is 40 mins away from our home. If it isn’t a good idea my sister would drive me than him meet me there. But I prefer him taking me of course.

What do you think? Would it be okay to wait a half hour for him to get home?
