2 1/2 week period, while on pill?

So today's the first day I've taken the placebo pill and I'm on my third packet (so 9 weeks without period) but I've had spotting for about a month and period-like bleeding along with period clots and cramps (worse than before I was on the pill) for 2 1/2 weeks, for those who will advise to see a doctor I will be but in another nearly 3 weeks and just really need a peace of mind, is this normal? What could be happening? Help!
