5 weeks and bleeding after sex

I’m supposed to be 5 weeks. I have a 7 year old, and in the last year have had 2 miscarriages. Tonight after sex, I started bleeding and had pretty intense cramps/lightening crotch. The bleeding only last maybe a couple of wipes over an hour and got lighter and lighter. My husband says not to worry because it’s common in early pregnancy after sex.

But. I just went to the bathroom again and had more light red blood and some super small clots. Nothing is heavy enough for a panty liner. I’m considering going to the hospital but I just know there won’t be much they can see or do because I’m barely 5 weeks.

Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve mentally prepared myself since my first positive test for another loss. I just want to prepare myself for the bad news or hopeful news.
