Still have milk?

I have a 9 month old and we couldn’t breastfeed so I pumped until she was 3 months old and then I completely stopped so I haven’t breastfed or pumped in 6 months and I just tried expressing with my hand out of curiosity and some white specks of milk started coming out from both breasts ! I was very surprised is this normal?? A few months ago I tried expressing and there was nothing so why is there milk now?
