Waiting too long to take a pregnancy test?
I’ve been having normal consistent cycles since summer 2019. I’m not currently on any birth control or hormonal supplements and I haven’t been stressed out. I had a cosmetic skin procedure due around my period, and I was a little stressed out about getting it done & being on my cycle (my skin would be irritated and painful after), so I guess that could’ve possibly thrown it off? Either way, it’s now 10 days later and I haven’t gotten any period. I usually have really bad PMS symptoms before my cycle but this month I didn’t have any. I do have a dull ache in my breast and cramps on one side. I’m trying to give it a chance to come before I rush and take a pregnancy test just in case I ovulated late or the stress of my procedure is affecting it.
My friend, is urging me to go to the emergency room ASAP to see what’s up But I’m hesitant because I live in a city where the COVID numbers are the highest they’ve ever been in a while, 10k cases plus everyday. I told her I was going to take a test by the 15th if it hadn’t came but she said that I was waiting too late to take a test.
Overall, just came here to vent. I don’t have PCOS or endometriosis to trigger irregular cycles. Has anybody skipped a period before and hasn’t been pregnant? I’m honestly freaking out.
I can’t get a doctors appointment because my regular OBGYN is full for the next 3 weeks.
