1. I was wondering if you guys knew when baby was engaged in your pelvis by feeling with your hands on outside of your belly/pelvis. My dr said she was engaged last week, but honestly its just so 'squishy' and soft for inches and inches above my pubic bone. I can't imagine that there's an entire head right there? It's my fourth and i just remember it feeling so different. BUT my cervix definitely is taking a beating here lately so i suppose it could be true.

2. I was wondering if anyone knew how it's possible to be dilated or effaced plus engaged, at different stages. For example, they told me i was 2cm dilated, 20% effaced, and engaged in pelvis. But I just don't think I am. Maybe I'm in denial? Lol i guess my real question is, how/or is it possible to be dilated but not effaced, or dilated AND effaced but baby's not in pelvis? Like what pressures the cervix to dilate, if it's not the baby's head?

I can update anyone else who's curious, as to how it went for me, on Monday. I've got my last ultrasound and 36 wks check up!
