do you get an ultrasound at your 12 week appointment?

Currently 11 weeks and 3 days with my first and have my second appointment on the 4th.. i’m just curious to see if I️ will be getting and ultrasound at this appointment as well

They weren’t going to do an ultrasound at 12 weeks but the doctor couldn’t find the heartbeat with the Doppler which was extremely terrifying. Luckily they pulled me back for an ultrasound 5 minutes later and baby was way up high because my bladder was super full (which I had already told the doctor, SMH). Then I had my NT ultrasound the same day at the hospital so I saw baby twice in one day! Baby was moving around with great heart-rate and measuring big!

I got one at 9 weeks and won’t get another until almost 20 weeks

Through my midwife she does one at every visit. Through my OB she only does one to confirm and one at anatomy scan.

I’m only getting one because I don’t know exactly when my last period was. If I did, I would only get one at 20 weeks.

My Dr.  scheduled me for a 3D ultrasound for my 12th week appt. She said its normal for them and they do that to all their patients just to make sure baby has 2 legs, 2 hands, 10 fingers, etc......

I’ll be 10 weeks on Tuesday & ive had 3 appt all with ultrasounds.

Wow I’m surprised to see so many people get an U/S at their second appt. I wish my office did that!
