Anyone have a betta fish?

I just bought a 10g tank and hoping to get a betta fish soon. I want to stock the tank with plants first and get the cycling all figured out. I was wondering if anyone had plant recommendations? Preferably low light plants. Any advice on keeping a healthy tank would be appreciated!

Absolutely get lots of proper advice, tropical fish need a lot of good care to keep them healthy.  You must get a filter to get rid of waste and oxygenate the water and a good thermometer and do 25/30% water changes on a regular basis (don’t do much more than that as you’ll get rid of all your beneficial bacteria) 
Amazon sword grows really well and looks lovely wafting around.  Water lettuce grows well too but can be a pain to get rid of and tends to block the light out.  
You need to make sure you have water testing strips and chemicals to treat common illnesses as fish need treating quickly if they get sick.
Bettas are beautiful fish, it’s a shame they only flare when they are stressed or mad! I only saw ours do it a couple of times when our other fish pissed him off!

This was my girl princess she lived a very long time in this situation I forgot exactly how big the tank was . But I gave her this little tree and a shark decor . They like trees to sleep in etc.. Also feed her pellets not flakes .
