Does my friend like me platonically

I started talking and gaming with an old guy friend of mine, and its been really awesome. We get along well and we reminisced about old days and such. But something makes me feel weird. He keeps saying stuff like “I’m seriously so happy to talk to you again” or “we should’ve been talking long ago” over and over again, and he’s usually drunk when we game. It makes me glad that he likes talking to me, but I wonder why he enjoys it so much? I know he has a girlfriend, and as a girlfriend I would feel weird if my boyfriend said something like that to another girl, you know what I mean? We talked about how some other guys we knew had a crush on me and I was surprised when he said a lot of guys had a crush on me. He said “a lot of guys did lets just leave it at that”...

I’m not going to jump to any conclusions but I still ponder because if he does have feelings I’d rather not ignore them out of respect for my boyfriends feelings. He wouldn’t appreciate me talking to a guy I know has a crush on me.
