Boba Wrap vs. Traditional Carrier?

I’ve had friends that swear by the Boba wrap saying it makes their baby feel closer to them and fall asleep faster, etc.  Then I’ve had friends that said they were always scared they wouldn’t wrap it the right way, or they were too annoying to deal with so they just used a regular infant carrier. Preferences?

It's pretty personal. In my opinion if you've practiced well wrapping should feel safe and secure. If it doesn't feel safe because you are still practicing don't worry, try tieing it again, it should feel secure.
We had received a babybjorn carrier that I tried once for 30 minutes when my wrap was being washed and the baby needed to be held and I was working at the time, so I had no other option. My back hurt for a week. However that might not be the case if you get properly fitted.. However if you get properly fitted you also don't walk around wearing a fullsize baby for 30 minutes.. While the wrap is always 100% adjustable.
My personal preference lies with wrapping (as you may have noticed in the 1 other topic in this group 🤣) but it's really each to their own.
If you feel like other people's preferences start out of their personal fears (they might drop their baby etc) you should wonder if you should let it have an effect on you..
Like.. If someone has a fear of deep water, would it prevent you to swim in the sea?

Tbh the woven wrap is the most traditional of them all.
The boba is nice for your smaller baby but I had a big baby who grew fast and he grew out of my boba-type wrap pretty soon (4 months), making it feel insecure, if I would do over I would only have eye for woven wraps.
