Possible miscarriage

So me and my bf have been trying to conceive for a few months now and at end and the beginning of the month I got my period like normal on time then after 4 days past period I bled again for a few days no pain no nothing. Went to the doctors she suggested I could have miscarried and now I’m 8 days late for my next period, could that be a sign I did miscarrie? 😔 and if so when will my cycle probably be back on track. Thank you all in advance if never been threw this before and have no one to talk about it with who can understand.
