My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home and the home inspection is coming up. Did you attend your home inspection?

I’m conflicted about attending ours. I want to so I can get to know the house more thoroughly and ask questions. But obviously we’re in the midst of a pandemic which makes me nervous, we’re moving out of state so it’s a bit of a drive, we’d need a babysitter, and our friends who have purchased 3 homes told us they didn’t attend any of their inspections and felt being there was unnecessary. One of the companies our realtor recommended offers a video of the inspection emailed afterward which is who I would choose if we didn’t go in-person.
