Went today for a regular growth scan, will be 36 weeks on Friday. All of my previous scans have been considered normal.

So today they were taking the measurements of baby girl and most everything was looking good. (Weighing 5.5lbs!) But my doc said there was an abnormality with the kidneys. One was possibly enlarged and there appears to be a blockage in the ureter. She referred me to a specialist which I will be seeing. But had told me it is likely I will be induced early, and my baby will be taken for surgery, or need medication/ treatment for this issue.

Has anybody gone through something similar and can share your experience? Or have any knowledge of this type of thing? This pregnancy has been a breeze compared to my past 3. Everything has looked so good. Now my blood pressure has gotten a little too high a few times, but comes down and the abnormal scan..

trying not to worry until I have answers from the specialist. Praying and hoping baby will be okay!
